26 LC 129 1301 House Resolution 1514 By: Representative Cannon of the 58th A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Sonya Martinez for receiving the 2026 Yellow Rose Nikki1 T. Randall Servant Leadership Award; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the fi rst African American3 female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of4 service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia5 Women's Legislative Caucus; and6 WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Women's Legislative7 Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify th e leadership and8 inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and9 WHEREAS, Sonya Martinez is the founder of Martinez Home Group, a top-performing10 bilingual agent with Keller Williams, specializing in the dynamic Atlanta real estate market;11 and 12 WHEREAS, Martinez Home Group consistently ranks in the top 20 p ercent of the Keller13 Williams Brokerage– this year it was ranked in the top five percent; and14 H. R. 1514 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1301 WHEREAS, through the brokerage, Sonya is a member of the culture committee, the equity15 committee, and the productivity growth committee; and16 WHEREAS, with over 15 years of experience, Sonya treats her cli ents like family, and is17 known for her deep market knowledge, integrity, and heartfelt commitment to helping clients18 achieve homeownership and build generational wealth; and19 WHEREAS, a proud member of GALAREIA, Sonya is also deeply involved in philanthropy,20 supporting causes like St. Jude, Force Blue, Change To Humanity , and the Children's21 Restoration Network; and 22 WHEREAS, Sonya has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout Georgia for23 her passionate philanthropy and dedicated real estate work; and24 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this25 extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27 the members of this body congratulate and commend Sonya Martinez for receiving the 202628 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award and exten d best wishes for her29 continued success.30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized31 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Sonya32 Martinez.33 H.
