A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and memory of Michael "Mike" Earl Chambers, S r.; and for other1
purposes.2
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens3
with the passing ofMichael "Mike" Earl Chambers, Sr., on January 24, 2026; and4
WHEREAS,Michael "Mike" Earl Chambers, Sr., was born on January 5, 1959, in5
Newfoundland, Canada, a beloved son of Earl and Lily Jenks Chambers; and6
WHEREAS, he proudly served with the United States Forest Servic e as a Civil Engineer7
Technician for 43 years; and8
WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Mike was an active member of Toccoa Baptist9
Church; and10
WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Denise, and was blessed with11
two remarkable children, Micheal and Jodie, and four wonderful grandchildren, Lily, Maci,12
Bronson, and Cambrie; and13

WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern14
for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his15
family and friends were admired by others; and16
WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation17
for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he18
made this world a better place in which to live; and19
WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Mike will long be remembered for his love20
of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great fortune of21
knowing him.22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23
the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory o f Michael "Mike" Earl24
Chambers, Sr., and express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.25
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the27
family of Michael "Mike" Earl Chambers, Sr.28
