A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life of Mr. Hassan Raheem Glasgow and dedicating a road in his memory; and1
for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Mr. Hassan Raheem Glasgow was born on March 3, 1993, i n Key West,3
Florida, a beloved son of Darlene Mathis and Edward Glasgow; and4
WHEREAS, Mr. Glasgow graduated from King's Fork High School in Suffolk, Virginia, and5
was employed with Emory University as a computer support specialist; and6
WHEREAS, Mr. Glasgow gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep7
concern for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, an d understanding he8
demonstrated to his family and friends were admired by others; and9
WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation10
for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he11
made this world a better place in which to live; and12
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkab le and distinguished13
Georgian be recognized appropriately by dedicating a road in his memory.14

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ENACTED BY THE GENERAL15
ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA that the portion of State Route 540 in Washington County from16
State Route 231 to the Jefferson County line is dedicated as th e Hassan Raheem Glasgow17
Memorial Highway.18
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Transportation is authorized and19
directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs dedicating the Hassan Raheem Glasgow20
Memorial Highway.21
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the23
family of Mr. Hassan Raheem Glasgow and to the Department of Transportation.24
