26 LC 129 1314 House Resolution 1515 By: Representative Jones of the 60th A RESOLUTION Honoring the Metropolitan Atlanta Baptist Ministers Union upon 141 years of service to the1 Baptist churches and community; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the seeds which were sown by the loving and humble eff orts of the devoted3 original worshipers of the Metropolitan Atlanta Baptist Ministe rs Union have blossomed,4 establishing a rich tradition and history; and5 WHEREAS, organized 141 years ago, the Metropolitan Atlanta Baptist Ministers Union has6 grown under the divine direction of numerous pastors over the years, allowing the Word of7 God to spread throughout the community; and8 WHEREAS, the congregation of this church has compiled an unpara lleled record of9 constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service which it demonstrates daily through10 open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and11 WHEREAS, the members of the Metropolitan Atlanta Baptist Ministers Union have a sincere12 desire to serve the Lord and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus13 Christ; and14 H. R. 1515 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1314 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message15 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works rendered16 on behalf of persons in need.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body recognize the rich history of the Metr opolitan Atlanta Baptist19 Ministers Union, commend its 141 years of dedicated service to the Lord and community,20 and extend their warmest best wishes for its continued growth and success.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the23 Metropolitan Atlanta Baptist Ministers Union.24 H.
