26 LC 129 1308 House Resolution 1556 By: Representative Moore of the 91st A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Kennedy Chapman; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Kennedy Chapman, a 2026 Showtime Pros Cotillion debuta nte, is the2 accomplished daughter of of Ms. Tondelair Chapman and Mr. Jermaine Mims; and3 WHEREAS, through her participation in the 2026 Showtime Pros Co tillion debutante4 program, Kennedy has been supported and encouraged to grow in s trength, character,5 confidence, and purpose; and6 WHEREAS, she is a senior at Central Fine Arts and International Baccalaureate Magnet7 High School in Macon, Georgia, where she is a violinist in the Orchestra Magnet Program;8 and 9 WHEREAS, Kennedy is an active member of FBLA and DECA, a dedicated student-athlete10 in flag football and soccer, and a dual-enrollment student who has earned a Technical11 Certificate in Early College Essentials from Central Georgia Technical College; and 12 WHEREAS, she enjoys serving her community as a member of Union Baptist Church as13 well as at the local food bank; and 14 H. R. 1556 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1308 WHEREAS, each debutante completed a minimum of 10 hours of community service and15 maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.9; and16 WHEREAS, throughout the program, the young women participated i n transformative17 workshops and experiences designed to challenge and inspire them; and 18 WHEREAS, a defining moment of the season was their visit to the Georgia State Capitol,19 where they were recognized during the legislative session and had the opportunity to speak20 on issues important to them–demonstrating that their voices mat ter and their purpose is21 already in action; and22 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstand ing young woman be23 appropriately honored.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25 the members of this body recognize and commend Kennedy Chapman for her unwavering26 commitment to service, leadership, academic excellence, and community involvement.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to29 Kennedy Chapman.30 H.
