26 LC 129 1320 House Resolution 1551 By: Representatives Scott of the 76th, Burnough of the 77th, Flournoy of the 74th, Davis of the 87th, and Schofield of the 63rd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Ms. Ann Webb for her unwavering faith, dedicated ministry,1 steadfast service to her family and community, and for her outstanding example of resilience,2 leadership, and love; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, Ms. Ann Webb, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been a proud resident4 of the State of Georgia since 1987 and has faithfully called Clayton County home since 2004;5 and6 WHEREAS, she is a devoted mother and loving grandmother of three grandchildren, whom7 she is raising with extraordinary commitment and care; and8 WHEREAS, she became guardian to her two eldest grandchildren when they were infants9 and has lovingly nurtured them into young adulthood, both set to graduate from high school10 in May 2026, and most recently assumed guardianship of her youngest grandchild, now five11 years old; and12 WHEREAS, her greatest joy is found in watching her grandchildren grow, thrive, and walk13 confidently in their purpose; and14 H. R. 1551 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1320 WHEREAS, with more than 30 years of ministry experience, Ms. Ann Webb has faithfully15 answered God's call through numerous leadership and service roles, including coordinating16 Women's Conferences and Family Enrichment Conferences, leading Prison Ministry and17 Women's Shelter Ministry, overseeing ministerial staff, directing Prayer Ministry, serving18 as a Hospice Chaplain, teaching New Members Classes and Adult Sunday School, officiating19 Sunday worship services, and ministering through song as a memb er of a professional20 recording choir; and21 WHEREAS, in addition to her extensive ministry service, she retired in 2021 from a CPA22 firm, where she exemplified excellence, discipline, professionalism, and integrity; and23 WHEREAS, balancing career, ministry, and the profound responsib ility of raising her24 grandchildren later in life, she has remained steadfast in fait h and unwavering in25 commitment; and26 WHEREAS, when asked how she has managed these responsibilities, she humbly proclaims,27 "nothing has been easy, but God continues to be good and faithful to us. He is the only one28 who has taken care of us and kept us, especially during the most challenging times"; and29 WHEREAS, Ms. Ann Webb's life is a powerful testimony of resilie nce, obedience,30 faithfulness, and unwavering trust in God, and she continues to serve with grace, wisdom,31 and a heart fully committed to God and to the people she is called to serve.32 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that33 the members of this body recognize and commend Ms. Ann Webb for her remarkable34 service, steadfast faith, and enduring contributions to her family, church, and community.35 H. R. 1551 - 2 - 26 LC 129 1320 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized36 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ms.37 Ann Webb.38 H.
