26 LC 112 3809 House Resolution 1573 By: Representatives Reese of the 140th, Hugley of the 141st, Buckner of the 137th, Rice of the 139th, and Smith of the 138th A RESOLUTION Commending and congratulating Carrie Lula Neal Harden; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Carrie Lula Neal Harden was born on March 8, 1934, in Gibson, Georgia, and2 this year she enjoys the delightful distinction of celebrating her 92nd birthday; and3 WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, Carrie Lula Neal Ha rden is a devoted4 lifetime member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she serves as part of the Mother Board; and5 WHEREAS, she has long been cherished by her friends, family, and community as a pillar6 of support who is always willing to help and care for others as well as a fantastic cook whose7 food is enjoyed by all; and8 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high9 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens; and 10 WHEREAS, Carrie Lula Neal Harden possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through11 experience and the strength of character which is achieved thro ugh overcoming the many12 challenges of life; and13 H. R. 1573 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3809 WHEREAS, a kind and generous person, Carrie Lula Neal Harden brings joy and happiness14 to her family and to the many friends and neighbors who have the great pleasure of knowing15 her; and16 WHEREAS, she has witnessed a dramatic change in the world over the course of her lifetime17 and we salute her contribution to its progress by her own hard work and good citizenship;18 and19 WHEREAS, by the example Carrie Lula Neal Harden has made of her life, she makes this20 world a better place in which to live, and it is only fitting and proper that she be appropriately21 recognized during this very special and memorable time.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body commend Carrie Lula Neal Harden for he r unselfish, dedicated,24 and loving service to the members of her family and community; congratulate her on the25 remarkable occasion of her 92nd birthday; and extend their most sincere best wishes for26 continued health and happiness.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Carrie29 Lula Neal Harden.30 H.
