26 LC 129 1309 House Resolution 1577 By: Representative Moore of the 91st A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Elise Johnson; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Elise Johnson, a 2026 Showtime Pros Cotillion debutante, is the accomplished2 eldest daughter of Mr. and Ms. Johnson; and3 WHEREAS, through her participation in the 2026 Showtime Pros Co tillion debutante4 program, Elise has been supported and encouraged to grow in strength, character, confidence,5 and purpose; and6 WHEREAS, she is a senior attending Dutchtown High School and at tends Clayton State7 University, where she is enrolled in dual enrollment courses; and 8 WHEREAS, outside of school, Elise enjoys working as a host and food runner at Miyako9 Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi, volunteering at Atlanta's city pre servation events, and10 drawing; and11 WHEREAS, each debutante completed a minimum of 10 hours of community service and12 maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.9; and13 H. R. 1577 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1309 WHEREAS, throughout the program, the young women participated i n transformative14 workshops and experiences designed to challenge and inspire them; and 15 WHEREAS, a defining moment of the season was their visit to the Georgia State Capitol,16 where they were recognized during the legislative session and had the opportunity to speak17 on issues important to them–demonstrating that their voices mat ter and their purpose is18 already in action; and19 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstand ing young woman be20 appropriately honored.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body recognize and commend Elise Johnson fo r her unwavering23 commitment to service, leadership, academic excellence, and community involvement.24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized25 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Elise26 Johnson.27 H.
