L. 1984, p. 3591), as amended, so as to change the date of election of the president of3 said board; to provide for related matters; to provide for an e ffective date; to repeal4 conflicting laws; and for other purposes.5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6 SECTION 1.7 An Act providing for the number of members and for the election of members of the Board8 of Education of Fulton County, approved February 10, 1984 (Ga. L. 1984, p. 3591), as9 amended, is amended by revising subsection (a) of Section 4 as follows:10 "(a) The president of the Board of Education of Fulton County shall be elected from the11 membership of the board by a majority vote of the members. The president shall be elected12 at the first regular meeting of the board held during December of each even-numbered year13 and shall serve until a successor is elected by the board as herein provided."14 H.
