26 LC 129 1350 Senate Resolution 928 By: Senators Anderson of the 24th, Burns of the 23rd, Williams of the 25th, Echols of the 49th, Jones II of the 22nd and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Greenbrier High School girls flag football t eam for winning the 20251 GHSA Division 2 State Flag Football Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Greenbrier High School girls flag football team ha s established and3 maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphasis on character and athletic4 achievement; and5 WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team6 a formidable force throughout the season, and as a fitting fina le to its remarkable 20257 campaign, the Wolfpack captured its third consecutive state championship title; and8 WHEREAS, the team demonstrated remarkable offensive and defensive prowess, finishing9 the season with an outstanding record of 22-3, as well as ranking 1st in Division 2, 2nd in all10 Georgia Divisions, and 8th Nationally by MaxPreps; and11 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding12 athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the13 team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astut e direction of Head Coach14 James Smith; and15 S. R. 928 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1350 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by16 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is17 abundantly proper to call them champions.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body19 congratulate the Greenbrier High School girls flag football team for winning the 2025 GHSA20 Division 2 State Flag Football Championship and extend best wis hes for their continued21 success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed23 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to the Greenbrier24 High School girls flag football team.25 S.
