A RESOLUTION
Congratulating and commending the Coastal Area District Develop ment Authority, Inc.,1
upon its 50th anniversary; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, in 2026, the Coastal Area District Development Authority, Inc.,(CADDA) will3
be celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding; and4
WHEREAS, CADDA is a non-profit corporation, established in 1976 , with a mission to5
provide economic development lending programs to small business es and industries6
expanding or locating in Georgia, North Florida, and the low country of South Carolina to7
improve the economic conditions of the region through the creation and retention of jobs; and8
WHEREAS, for fifty years, CADDA has partnered with local lender s, entrepreneurs, and9
community leaders to support job creation, capital investment, and long-term economic10
growth; and11
WHEREAS, CADDA has funded more than 1,300 small business loans, helped to invest12
over $526 million into communities throughout Coastal Georgia and beyond, and supported13
the creation and retention of more than 9,300 jobs; and14

WHEREAS, CADDA's employees are s taunch supporters of their comm unities and15
unselfishly devote innumerable hours of their time and talents to support and improve the16
area; and17
WHEREAS, the work of CADDA has strengthened local businesses, e nhanced economic18
opportunity, and contributed to the overall vitality of the State of Georgia; and19
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this20
extraordinary company be appropriately recognized.21
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body22
congratulate the Coastal Area District Development Authority, I nc., upon its 50th23
anniversary, commend it for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of24
Georgia, and extend best wishes for its continued growth, development, and success.25
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed26
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Coastal Area27
District Development Authority, Inc.28
