26 LC 129 1355 Senate Resolution 922 By: Senators Howard of the 35th, Rhett of the 33rd, James of th e 28th, Kirkpatrick of the 32nd, Setzler of the 37th and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Campbell High School boys soccer team for wi nning the 2025 GHSA1 Class 6A State Soccer Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Campbell High School boys soccer team has established and maintained a3 proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4 WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of soccer5 competition with resilience and determination; and 6 WHEREAS, overcoming a challenging start marked by early losses, the team turned around7 in March, finishing the season with a 13-1 run through regional competition and state8 playoffs; and9 WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team10 a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable11 2025 campaign, the team captured its first state soccer championship; and12 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding13 athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the14 S. R. 922 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1355 team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction team captains Misha15 Dahlen, Henry Schlichting, Alessio Lois, and Miles Russell; and16 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by17 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is18 abundantly proper to call them champions.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body20 congratulate the Campbell High School boys soccer team for winning the 2025 GHSA Class21 6A State Soccer Championship and extend best wishes for their continued success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed23 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Campbell High24 School boys soccer team.25 S.
