26 LC 112 3863 House Resolution 1626 By: Representatives Romman of the 97th, Ali of the 106th, Sanchez of the 42nd, Crawford of the 89th, Bell of the 75th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing March 9, 2026, as Young Democrats of Georgia Day at the state capitol; and1 for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Young Democrats of Georgia represents young people from all over the3 State of Georgia between the ages of 14 and 40 who support the Democratic Party; and4 WHEREAS, engaging young people in federal, state, and local politics is the primary goal5 of the Young Democrats of Georgia; and6 WHEREAS, young people play a critical role in fostering a healthy democracy; and7 WHEREAS, there are many issues that impact young Georgians in t heir everyday lives,8 including housing, climate change, and affordability; and9 WHEREAS, the Young Democrats of Georgia have demonstrated their dedication to10 participating in state politics; and11 WHEREAS, many Young Democrats serve or have served under the Gold Dome as aides,12 interns, staff, and even as members of the Georgia General Assembly; and13 H. R. 1626 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3863 WHEREAS, many Young Democrats will visit the state capitol on March 9, 2026, for Young14 Democrats of Georgia Day at the state capitol; and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the Young Dem ocrats of Georgia are16 honored for their hard work.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body recognize March 9, 2026, as Young Democrats of Georgia Day at19 the state capitol.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the22 public and the press.23 H.
