26 LC 129 1343 House Resolution 1615 By: Representatives Mitchell of the 88th and McClain of the 109th A RESOLUTION Honoring and celebrating Dr. Sonnie Badu and First Lady Annie Badu for eight remarkable1 years of ministry service in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Sonnie Badu, an internationally acclaimed gospel minister, worship leader, and3 apostolic voice, has faithfully served the Body of Christ and the community of Georgia for4 eight impactful years, bringing spiritual renewal, leadership d evelopment, and global5 influence to the region; and6 WHEREAS, alongside him, First Lady Annie Badu has demonstrated grace, wisdom,7 strength, and unwavering support in ministry, empowering women, families, and leaders with8 dignity, compassion, and excellence; and9 WHEREAS, through their leadership at RockHill Church Atlanta, t hey have cultivated an10 atmosphere of authentic worship, sound biblical teaching, prophetic insight, and community11 engagement that has transformed countless lives across the State of Georgia and beyond; and12 WHEREAS, their ministry has extended beyond the pulpit through humanitarian outreach,13 leadership conferences, mentorship initiatives, and global miss ions, strengthening faith14 communities and fostering unity among diverse cultures; and15 H. R. 1615 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1343 WHEREAS, their eight-year tenure in Georgia reflects steadfast commitment, spiritual16 integrity, visionary leadership, and measurable impact in advan cing the Kingdom of God17 within local communities and on the global stage; and18 WHEREAS, Dr. Sonnie Badu's influence as a worship reformer and global ambassador of19 gospel music has positioned Georgia as a hub for international worship gatherings, leadership20 summits, and spiritual awakening; and21 WHEREAS, First Lady Annie Badu has exemplified the virtues of excellence, elegance, and22 servant leadership, standing as a pillar of strength to familie s, women in ministry, and23 emerging leaders throughout the state.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25 the members of this body honor and celebrate Dr. Sonnie Badu and First Lady Annie Badu26 for eight remarkable years of ministry service in the State of Georgia; commend their27 unwavering dedication, spiritual leadership, and enduring commi tment to uplifting28 communities, empowering believers, and strengthening the moral and spiritual fabric of29 Georgia; and recognize their ministry as a beacon of faith, uni ty, cultural excellence, and30 Kingdom advancement.31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized32 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.33 Sonnie Badu and First Lady Annie Badu.34 H.
