A RESOLUTION
Commending the Women's Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project (WEOP) and celebrating its1
26 years of service; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Women's Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project (WEOP) has dedicated more3
than 26 years to advancing economic opportunity, leadership, an d entrepreneurship for4
women and underserved communities; and5
WHEREAS, since its founding, the WEOP has served as a catalyst for empowerment by6
bringing women together to build businesses, strengthen leaders hip skills, and create7
pathways toward economic mobility and independence; and8
WHEREAS, through innovative programming, strategic partnerships , and collaborative9
initiatives, the WEOP has worked tirelessly to promote social equity, economic development,10
and access to opportunities that strengthen families, businesses, and communities; and11
WHEREAS, the WEOP has provided vital resources such as training, mentorship, financial12
education, and business development programs designed to help women entrepreneurs grow13
sustainable enterprises and participate fully in the evolving economy; and14

WHEREAS, the organization's commitment to collaboration with co mmunity partners,15
corporations, government agencies, and institutions has expande d opportunities for16
women-owned businesses throughout Georgia and beyond; and17
WHEREAS, during Women's History Month, it is fitting to recogni ze organizations that18
honor the legacy of women's leadership by empowering current an d future generations of19
women to thrive as entrepreneurs, innovators, and community leaders; and20
WHEREAS, the WEOP's continued dedication to building strong com munities, fostering21
economic advancement, and advocating on behalf of women and fam ilies represents a22
meaningful contribution to the State of Georgia and the nation.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24
the members of this body commend the Women's Entrepreneurial Op portunity Project25
(WEOP) for its 26 years of outstanding service and celebrate its continued efforts to uplift26
communities, promote social equity, and expand economic opportu n i t y f o r w o m e n i n27
Georgia and beyond.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the30
Women's Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project.31
