26 LC 129 1348 House Resolution 1617 By: Representatives McClain of the 109 th, Okoye of the 102 nd, Beckles of the 96 th, and Mitchell of the 88th A RESOLUTION Honoring Dr. Karen Johnson-Moore and Elder Howard E. Moore as recipients of the 44th1 Presidential Legacy Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Trinity Girls Network Corp.2 and Trinity International University of Ambassadors; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, Black History Month is a sacred observance dedicated t o honoring African4 American leaders whose lives reflect courage, resilience, faith, innovation, and a steadfast5 commitment to advancing communities and uplifting humanity; and6 WHEREAS, Dr. Karen Johnson-Moore and Elder Howard E. Moore have each demonstrated7 extraordinary dedication to spiritual leadership, community transformation, and generational8 empowerment through decades of faithful service; and9 WHEREAS, Elder Howard E. Moore has served faithfully in ministr y for many years,10 offering pastoral leadership, biblical teaching, spiritual coun sel, and mentorship that has11 strengthened families, fortified congregations, and cultivated emerging leaders - standing as12 a pillar of integrity and unwavering faith within the community; and13 WHEREAS, Dr. Karen Johnson-Moore, born in Philadelphia, Pennsyl vania, exemplifies14 excellence shaped through perseverance and scholarship– earning academic distinction,15 H. R. 1617 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1348 pursuing higher education at a Historically Black College or Un iversity, and building a16 distinguished 25-year career in the technology industry as a Computer Science professional17 and strategic leader; and18 WHEREAS, her professional success evolved into global ministry entrepreneurship19 following a transformative spiritual encounter that revealed th e dynamic intersection of20 biblical principles, leadership development, and personal empowerment; and21 WHEREAS, as Founder and Executive Administrator of A Gathering of Women, she has22 united women internationally in fellowship, discipleship, and l eadership training,23 empowering them to grow in faith and resilience; and 24 WHEREAS, through "Covenant Partners," she has strengthened marr iages globally by25 equipping couples with biblical guidance rooted in her own enduring marital testimony; and 26 WHEREAS, through "Sistahs for Life," born from her courageous battle with breast cancer,27 she has advanced life-saving breast cancer awareness and early detection advocacy on an28 international scale; and 29 WHEREAS, together, Dr. Karen Johnson-Moore and Elder Howard E. Moore represent a30 unified legacy of faith, family, entrepreneurship, ministry, an d community service–31 demonstrating that true leadership produces lasting transformation across generations.32 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that33 the members of this body proudly recognize and honor Dr. Karen Johnson-Moore and Elder34 Howard E. Moore for their lifetime of ministry excellence, comm unity impact,35 entrepreneurial innovation, and global humanitarian leadership as well as congratulate them36 H. R. 1617 - 2 - 26 LC 129 1348 upon the grand occasion of receiving the 44th Presidential Lega cy Lifetime Achievement37 Award presented by Trinity Girls Network Corp. and Trinity Inte rnational University of38 Ambassadors.39 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized40 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.41 Karen Johnson-Moore and Elder Howard E.
