26 LC 112 3848 House Resolution 1629 By: Representative Paris of the 142nd A RESOLUTION Celebrating Georgia's 100 Women of Excellence; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, International Women's Day is a globally recognized occasion to celebrate the2 accomplishments of incredible women who have played an indispensable role in shaping our3 societies, economies, and cultures; breaking barriers; and driving positive change; and4 WHEREAS, these exceptional women have inspired and empowered ot hers through their5 leadership, innovation, creativity, and advocacy for gender equality and women's rights, and6 their stories serve as a powerful reminder that women have the power to create a more just,7 inclusive, and prosperous world; and8 WHEREAS, it is crucial to recognize and honor these women for their immense strength and9 extraordinary contributions: Essence Johnson, Lettie Johnson, Lori Johnson, Tamiko Jones,10 Teneeah Joyner, Ebony Karim, Toni Kendrick, Candace Ledbetter, Patrice Lindo,11 Jill Lindsey, JosCynthia Mason, Elle McGhee, Timeekah Murphy, J uliana Nelson,12 Drea Nicole, Lex P, Sherie Phillips, Jekwenta Primm, Sandy Robe rt, Vanetta Roy,13 Ariel Shaw, Claressa Shields, Edwina Simpson, Jill Strada, Aura T a y l o r , a n d14 Rosalind Thomas.15 H.
