26 LC 112 3850 House Resolution 1643 By: Representatives Schofield of the 63rd, Davis of the 87th, and Scott of the 76th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Bobby Dodd Institute; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, inspired by the rich history and legacy of Bobby Dodd, an ardent advocate and2 College Football Hall of Fame player and coach, the Bobby Dodd Institute empowers3 individuals to maximize their potential by securing economic self-sufficiency, independence,4 and inclusion within their communities; and5 WHEREAS, the Bobby Dodd Institute has grown from its humble beginnings as a resources6 program at All About Developmental Disabilities to become a workforce innovation leader7 that offers a continuum of support for all ages, stages, and le vels of need for people with8 disabilities and their families; and9 WHEREAS, during 2025, the ins titute assisted near ly 3,500 indiv iduals through its10 empowerment and employment services, including career planning, specialized job training,11 resources coordination, intensive case management, life skills training, and more; and12 WHEREAS, the institute additionally launched its Elevate Academy in partnership with local13 businesses to provide individuals aged 18 to 30 with paid inter nships that allow them to14 develop job skills in real-world environments; and15 H. R. 1643 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3850 WHEREAS, through its Benefits Navigation program, the institute helped secure over $23216 million in cumulative potential lifetime public benefits, allowing those in need to achieve the17 foundation necessary for a stable, independent life; and18 WHEREAS, with nearly 50 worksites and more than 375 employees, 43 percent of whom19 have a diagnosed disability, the Bobby Dodd Institute is a beac on of hope that generates20 meaningful, impactful results for the individuals and families it serves; and21 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplar y organization be22 appropriately honored.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body recognize and commend the Bobby Dodd Institute for its decades25 of exceptional service on behalf of those in need as well as extend best wishes for continued26 success.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the29 Bobby Dodd Institute.30 H.
