26 LC 112 3870 House Resolution 1645 By: Representatives Carson of the 46th, Ehrhart of the 36th, and Ridley of the 22nd A RESOLUTION Commending and congratulating Jonathan Sandberg; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Jonathan Sandberg has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the most distinguished2 rank conferred by Scouting America; and3 WHEREAS, a candidate for the most exceptional award in scouting must complete a4 rigorous program of training and demonstrate his proficiency in selected scouting techniques5 and the attainment of the highest ideals of scouting; and6 WHEREAS, only one scout out of 97 ever reaches this lofty level of achievement, and7 Jonathan has ably evidenced his aptitude and competency in mastering the various special8 skills taught through the Scouts BSA program; and9 WHEREAS, this hard-working young man has demonstrated great lea dership skills and10 initiative and has truly exhibited a commitment to the scouting principles of honesty and11 fairness during his years with the Scouts BSA program; and12 H. R. 1645 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3870 WHEREAS, to earn this prestigious award, Jonathan led an Eagle project to beautify13 Kennesaw First Baptist Church's nature trail, including the add ition of a bench and picnic14 table along with fresh mulch, boarders, and flowering plants; and15 WHEREAS, the perseverance and determination displayed by this exceptional young leader16 set an example for all Georgians, and great success is surely in this young man's future.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body commend Jonathan Sandberg for his diligence and dedication in19 pursuing the highest honor awarded by Scouting America and congratulate him on attaining20 the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to23 Jonathan Sandberg.24 H.
