26 LC 47 4027/AP House Bill 1526 (AS PASSED HOUSE AND SENATE) By: Representative Greene of the 154th A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To repeal a former local constitutional amendment (Ga. L. 1962, p. 808), which former local1 constitutional amendment was continued in effect as statutory law pursuant to Article VII,2 Section II, Paragraph IV of the Constitution of Georgia and whi ch provided a five year3 exemption from local ad valorem property taxes to any person wh o built, equipped,4 established, completed, or enlarged a plant for manufacturing or processing in Early County;5 to provide that exemptions granted prior to the effective date of this Act shall continue for6 the remainder of their unexpired terms; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:8 SECTION 1.9 The former local constitutional amendment (Ga. L. 1962, p. 808) , which former local10 constitutional amendment was continued in effect as statutory law pursuant to Article VII,11 Section II, Paragraph IV of the Constitution of Georgia and whi ch provided a five year12 exemption from local ad valorem property taxes to any person wh o built, equipped,13 established, completed, or enlarged a plant for manufacturing or processing in Early County,14 is hereby repealed; provided, however, that any property receiv ing such exemption on the15 H.
