26 LC 112 3844 Senate Resolution 941 By: Senators Hickman of the 4th, Ginn of the 47th, Echols of the 49th, Hatchett of the 50th and Robertson of the 29th A RESOLUTION Commending the Georgia District Exchange Clubs; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, this year, the Georgia District Exchange Clubs proudly celebrate their 100th2 anniversary, marking a century of dedicated service to communit ies across the State of3 Georgia through programs that promote Americanism, youth develo pment, community4 service, and the prevention of child abuse; and5 WHEREAS, since its founding, the exchange has mobilized thousands of individuals whose6 collective efforts have strengthened families, supported youth, honored our nation's heritage,7 and improved the quality of life in communities throughout Georgia; and8 WHEREAS, exchange clubs throughout Georgia have played a pioneering role in the field9 of the prevention of child abuse, establishing programs, partne rships, and Exchange Club10 Centers for the Prevention of Child Abuse that provide educatio n, support, and critical11 resources to families in need; and12 WHEREAS, April is nationally recognized as Prevention of Child Abuse Month, a time to13 reaffirm our shared responsibility to ensuring all children gro w up in safe, stable, and14 nurturing environments; and15 S. R. 941 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3844 WHEREAS, the Georgia District Exchange Clubs have made a lastin g and measurable16 impact through prevention education, family support services, c ommunity awareness17 initiatives, and advocacy efforts that help protect Georgia's children and strengthen families;18 and19 WHEREAS, the observance of this milestone anniversary alongside Prevention of Child20 Abuse Month provides an opportunity to honor the legacy of the Georgia District Exchange21 Clubs and to encourage continued community involvement in building a brighter future for22 all children.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body24 commend the Georgia District Exchange Clubs upon the grand occa sion of their 100th25 anniversary and extend best wishes for continued success.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed27 to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the Georgia District28 Exchange Clubs.29 S.
