26 LC 112 3903 Senate Resolution 946 By: Senator James of the 28th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Apostle Darryl L. Winston; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Apostle Darryl L. Winston has demonstrated his commitment to teaching the2 Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,3 psychological, and intellectual needs of others; and4 WHEREAS, Apostle Darryl L. Winston began his ministry while ser ving as a chaplain5 assistant and chaplain in the United States National Guard, pro viding spiritual care to6 military personnel and families stationed in Europe; and7 WHEREAS, since accepting his call to ministry in 1986, he has s pent the past 40 years8 providing strategic counsel and exemplary spiritual leadership to influencers across business,9 politics, education, government, and entertainment; and10 WHEREAS, he has further established numerous programs and initiatives designed to uplift11 and support communities across the State of Georgia and beyond, including Greater Works12 Ministries, the Mercy Seat Assembly, the Global Prayer Network, the Shalom Assembly, the13 F.R.E.D. Initiative, and the Save Our City Coalition; and14 S. R. 946 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3903 WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the s ick, counseling the15 troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or16 humanitarian, Apostle Darryl L. Winston has shown the energy, devotion, and commitment17 truly reflective of divine guidance; and18 WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Apostle Darryl L. Winston is a19 source of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message21 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for his innumerable good works rendered22 on behalf of persons in need.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body24 recognize and commend Apostle Darryl L. Winston for his decades of exceptional ministry25 as well as extend best wishes for many more years of successful fellowship and leadership.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed27 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Apostle Darryl L.28 Winston.29 S.
