26 LC 129 1382 House Resolution 1691 By: Representative Jones of the 60th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad and honoring Pastors1 Ronal Monroy and Maria Mercedes Monroy on the occasion of their 16th pastoral2 anniversary; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad is a Pentecostal church located in Doraville,4 Georgia, and was founded on March 3, 2011; and5 WHEREAS, the church is led by Pastors Ronal Monroy and Maria Mercedes Monroy, who6 are celebrating their 16th pastoral anniversary and whose faithful leadership and dedication7 to ministry have had a meaningful and lasting impact on their c ongregation and the8 surrounding communities; and9 WHEREAS, since its founding, Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinida d has faithfully served10 those in need by feeding the homeless and spreading the Gospel throughout downtown11 Atlanta and in the city of Gainesville; and12 WHEREAS, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the church estab lished a radio13 ministry titled A Drop in the Desert, which broadcasts live every Monday and continue to14 share the Good News of the Gospel with listeners beyond the church walls; and15 H. R. 1691 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1382 WHEREAS, the church also maintains a compassionate outreach ministry in which a group16 of dedicated women regularly visit patients at local hospitals, including Northside Hospital,17 Grady Memorial Hospital, Emory University Hospital, and St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta,18 offering prayer, encouragement, and spiritual support to those facing illness and hardship;19 and20 WHEREAS, the church has also established a prison ministry known as Life Behind Bars,21 which serves individuals within Georgia state correctional facilities by sharing the Gospel22 and reminding incarcerated individuals that they are not forgotten and that God has the power23 to transform lives; and24 WHEREAS, the church leads an evangelism outreach initiative kno wn as Water for the25 Thirsty, inspired by the teachings found in the Book of Isaiah 55:1 and dedicated to bringing26 the message of hope and salvation to those who are spiritually seeking; and27 WHEREAS, Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad is also deeply committed to nurturing the28 next generation through programs and events designed to encourage children and youth to29 grow in their faith and develop a personal relationship with God; and30 WHEREAS, the church organizes revival and evangelistic events b oth nationally and31 internationally, including outreach efforts in Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and in Norcross,32 proclaiming the Gospel of Christ with the mission that every so ul may be saved and not33 perish; and34 WHEREAS, through faithful leadership and dedication to ministry , Iglesia Pentecostal35 Divina Trinidad has grown to establish eight daughter churches throughout the United States,36 including congregations in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Indiana, and Alabama; and37 H. R. 1691 - 2 - 26 LC 129 1382 WHEREAS, through courage, compassion, and unwavering faith, the p a s t o r s a n d38 congregation of Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad continue to reach communities where39 few are willing to go, spreading the Gospel of Christ and proclaiming the message that while40 there is life, there is hope; and41 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng service, ministry, and42 community outreach of Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad and its pastors be appropriately43 recognized.44 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that45 the members of this body commend Iglesia Pentecostal Divina Trinidad and honor Pastors46 Ronal Monroy and Maria Mercedes Monroy upon the celebration of their 16th pastoral47 anniversary and recognize their faithful ministry, dedication t o spreading the Gospel, and48 commitment to serving those in need.49 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized50 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Iglesia51 Pentecostal Divina Trinidad and Pastors Ronal Monroy and Maria Mercedes Monroy.52 H.
