A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Aubrey T. Villines Jr. for 50 years of distinguished public1
service at the Georgia State Capitol; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Aubrey T. Villines Jr. has devoted five decades to pub lic service in the State3
of Georgia, demonstrating unwavering commitment, professionalism, and leadership in his4
work at the Georgia State Capitol; and5
WHEREAS, throughout his decades long career, Mr. Villines has been a respected figure in6
legal and governmental circles, contributing to the advancement of public policy and the7
betterment of the citizens of Georgia; and8
WHEREAS, his civic engagement includes active participation in professional organizations9
such as the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, and the Association of Trial10
Lawyers of America, as well as involvement in community service and mentoring initiatives11
that promote civic responsibility and public education; and12
WHEREAS, he has further served his state and country with honor and distinction as an13
army officer in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War, and he was among the14
few officers sworn into service by his father, Army Officer Aubry Villines Sr.; and15

WHEREAS, Mr. Villines has been honored with numerous awards as a result of his16
exemplary service, including a Certificate of Appreciation from the Georgia Optometric17
Association, a Presidential Award from the Georgia Chiropractic Association, and a18
Marriage and Family Special Recognition Award from the Georgia Association of Marriage19
and Family Therapy, among many others; and20
WHEREAS, his service has been marked by integrity, wisdom, and a deep understanding of21
the legislative process, earning him the admiration of colleagues, lawmakers, and Georgians22
alike; and23
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng accomplishments and24
enduring legacy of this remarkable Georgian be appropriately honored.25
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26
the members of this body commend Aubrey T. Villines Jr. for his 50 years of exemplary27
public service at the Georgia State Capitol and extend to him their most sincere best wishes28
for continued health and happiness.29
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to31
Aubrey T. Villines Jr.32
