26 LC 112 3877 House Resolution 1684 By: Representatives Smith of the 138th, Rice of the 139th, Buckner of the 137th, Reese of the 140th, and Hugley of the 141st A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Terry L. Hudson II; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Dr. Terry L. Hudson II is a United States Army veteran and Georgia resident2 who honorably served on active duty as an Intelligence Analyst, deploying in support of3 Combined Joint Task Force—Operation Inherent Resolve in Kuwait and earning two Army4 Commendation Medals for meritorious service to the nation, an Army Good Conduct Medal,5 a National Defense Service Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and an Army6 Service Ribbon; and7 WHEREAS, following his military service, Dr. Hudson continued t o serve the nation by8 supporting sensitive national security missions in both deployed and stateside environments,9 providing security oversight that safeguarded personnel, information, and critical operations10 for federal agencies and United States Army commands; and11 WHEREAS, as a federal civilian employee at Fort Benning, Georgia, Dr. Hudson assumed12 significant responsibility in sen sitive, high-trust security en vironments during periods of13 organizational transition, ensuring continuity of operations, c ompliance with national14 security requirements, and uninterrupted mission support; and15 H. R. 1684 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3877 WHEREAS, in his current role as Senior Garrison Security Manager and Security Specialist16 for the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Secur ity on Fort Benning, he is17 entrusted with garrison-wide security oversight affecting thous ands of military personnel,18 Department of the Army civilians, and contractors across multiple directorates; and19 WHEREAS, through his leadership and initiative, Dr. Hudson has strengthened the garrison's20 security posture by improving compliance processes, reducing op erational backlogs,21 enhancing accountability, and supporting sustained readiness while serving as the sole senior22 security professional for the garrison; and23 WHEREAS, Dr. Hudson's service is further distinguished by his a cademic achievements,24 including a Doctorate in Forensic Sciences, which he applies to his professional25 responsibilities to promote analytical rigor, risk awareness, and continuous improvement in26 public service.27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Terry L. Hudson II for his efficient,29 effective, unselfish, and dedicated service as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for30 continued health and happiness.31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized32 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.33 Terry L.
