26 LC 129 1357 House Resolution 1694 By: Representatives Burnough of the 77th, Jackson of the 165th, Jones of the 60th, and Davis of the 87th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the U.S. United Pageant System; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the U.S. United Pageant System was established to promote health, fitness and2 inner beauty among women and young ladies of all ethnic groups while producing positive3 role models for the community; and4 WHEREAS, created by Marchia Mickens in 2003, the U.S. United Pageant System serves5 as a way for her to give back to the community; and6 WHEREAS, the U.S. United Pageant System recognizes outstanding young ladies, women,7 and now men, for their outstanding personal, professional and community achievements; and8 WHEREAS, since its founding, 23 years ago, the U.S. United Page ant System has9 recognized over 250 exemplary young ladies, women, and men, for their outstanding10 personal, professional, and community achievements; and11 WHEREAS, the national platform of the U.S. United Pageant Syste m is breast cancer12 awareness and research.13 H. R. 1694 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1357 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that14 the members of this body recognize and commend the U.S. United Pageant System and its15 many participants, as well as extend their sincere best wishes for its continued success.16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized17 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the18 U.S. United Pageant System.19 H.
