26 LC 129 1384 House Resolution 1721 By: Representatives Mathis of the 133rd, Hagan of the 156th, Hitchens of the 161st, Chastain of the 7th, McDonald III of the 26th, and others A RESOLUTION Commending Corporal Daniel Baldino and Corporal Dylan Warren; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Corporal Daniel Baldino and Corporal Dylan Warren serv e with honor and2 distinction with the Telfair County Sheriff's Office; and3 WHEREAS, both men are honest and dedicated public servants who strive for excellence in4 all of their endeavors and whose primary concern is the welfare and safety of the citizens of5 Telfair County; and6 WHEREAS, on March 5, 2026, Corporals Baldino and Warren along w ith fellow officers7 Captain Bobby Solomon, Sergeant Macy Deen, Deputies Chris Holland and Jacob Johnson8 of the Telfair County Sheriff's Office as well as Officer Kaleb Knowles of the McRae-Helena9 Police Department responded to an emergency call regarding a vehicle that had been driven10 into the creek; and 11 WHEREAS, without hesitation, Corporal Baldino, Corporal Warren, and Officer Knowles12 selfless shed their duty gear and entered the water to rescue the victim; and 13 H. R. 1721 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1384 WHEREAS, fortunately, a small pocket of air inside the vehicle allowed the victim to breate14 until help arrived and successfully removed her from the vehicle, saving her life; and 15 WHEREAS, Corporal Baldino and Corporal Warren have exhibited extraordinary devotion16 to duty, outstanding loyalty, fine leadership, and meticulous attention to detail in all of thier17 duties; and18 WHEREAS, thier inspiring commitment to the welfare of others is an outstanding example19 of the positive effect law enforcement professionals have on th e lives and well-being of20 others; and21 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that gratitude is expressed for the unique and22 often unheralded contributions of local law enforcement profess ionals on behalf of the23 citizens of this state.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25 the members of this body commend the care, courage, sympathy, a nd selfless dedication26 exhibited by Corporal Daniel Baldino and Corporal Dylan Warren in carrying out the27 difficult duties of thier vocation and express their utmost appreciation for having so purely28 and truly defined for others the meaning of public servant.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to31 Corporals Daniel Baldino and Dylan Warren.32 H.
