26 LC 112 3910 Senate Resolution 957 By: Senators Anavitarte of the 31st, Bearden of the 30th, Dixon of the 45th, Robertson of the 29th, Dickerson of the 21st and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the North Paulding High School Varsi ty Competition1 Cheerleading Team for their outstanding athletic achievements, academic excellence, and2 service to their community; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, the North Paulding High School Varsity Competition Che erleading Team4 achieved an extraordinary milestone during the 2025 season by capturing the Georgia High5 School Association Class 6A State Championship on November 15, 2025, marking the first6 state title in North Paulding High School athletics history; and7 WHEREAS, the championship performance also resulted in the highest score ever recorded8 in North Paulding High School history, with an outstanding score of 106.5, showcasing the9 team's exceptional skill, dedication, and preparation; and10 WHEREAS, the team was led by coaches Hannah Blue, Jordan Langston, and Paige Colon,11 whose leadership and commitment to excellence helped guide the athletes to historic success;12 and13 S. R. 957 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3910 WHEREAS, the North Paulding High School Varsity Competition Che erleading Team14 demonstrated excellence not only in athletics but also in academics, achieving an impressive15 overall team grade point average of 92.4; and16 WHEREAS, the program has established itself as one of the premier cheer programs in the17 region, earning three region championships and recognition as a Team of the Year finalist;18 and19 WHEREAS, members of the competition team also contributed to the North Paulding Game20 Day Cheer Program, which achieved an outstanding fourth place finish at the state level; and21 WHEREAS, beyond their athletic accomplishments, members of the North Paulding cheer22 program have demonstrated a strong commitment to community service by supporting fall23 athletic teams, volunteering at events such as West Ridge Night to Shine, assisting with24 Special Olympics activities, and contributing to community celebrations such as Holiday in25 the Den; and26 WHEREAS, the achievements of the student-athletes, coaches, and supporters of the North27 Paulding High School cheerleading program have brought tremendous pride to their schools,28 their community, and the State of Georgia while serving as an i nspiration to future29 student-athletes.30 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body31 recognize and commend the North Paulding High School Varsity Competition Cheerleading32 Team for their outstanding athletic accomplishments, their comm itment to academic33 excellence, and their dedication to serving their community as well as extend to these34 S. R. 957 - 2 - 26 LC 112 3910 student-athletes, their coaches, and supporters their best wishes for continued success in all35 future endeavors.36 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed37 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the North Paulding38 High School Varsity Competition Cheerleading Team.39 S.
