L. 1964, p. 2032), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 18, 2022 (Ga. L.2 2022, p. 5510), so as to revise provisions related to the compensation of the solicitor-general3 of the state court; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal4 conflicting laws; and for other purposes.5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6 SECTION 1.7 An Act creating the State Court of Clayton County, approved Jan uary 28, 19648 (Ga. L. 1964, p. 2032), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 18, 2022 (Ga. L.9 2022, p. 5510), is amended by revising Section 6 as follows:10 "SECTION 6.11 Salary of the solicitor-general.12 (a) The solicitor-general of the State Court of Clayton County shall receive a salary equal13 to 95 percent of the total compensation of the Chief Judge of t he State Court of Clayton14 S. B. 623 - 1 - 26 LC 47 4261S County, to include any supplement received pursuant to state law or county ordinance to15 be paid in biweekly installments from the funds of Clayton County.16 (b) In no event shall the solicitor-general's total salary as provided for in subsection (a) of17 this section exceed the greater of $191,007.00 or 95 percent of the total compensation of18 the Chief Judge of the State Court of Clayton County."19 SECTION 2.20 This Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in which21 the solicitor-general of the State Court of Clayton County full y complies with the22 county-wide audits of Clayton County for years 2024 , 2025, and 2026 required pursuant to23 subsection (c.1) of Code Section 36-81-7.24 SECTION 3.25 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.26 S.
