26 LC 129 1438 House Resolution 1765 By: Representatives Tarvin of the 2nd and Cameron of the 1st A RESOLUTION Commending and congratulating Haden Christopher Poole; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Haden Christopher Poole has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the most2 distinguished rank conferred by the Boy Scouts of America, as a member of Troop 1 in3 LaFayette, Georgia; and 4 WHEREAS, a candidate for the most exceptional award in scouting must complete a5 rigorous program of training and demonstrate his proficiency in selected scouting techniques6 and the attainment of the highest ideals of scouting; and 7 WHEREAS, only one scout out of 97 ever reaches this lofty level of achievement, and Haden8 has ably evidenced his aptitude and competency in mastering the various special skills taught9 through the Scouts BSA program; and 10 WHEREAS, Haden earned 50 merit badges and completed a major service project by making11 fish attractors for LaFayette City Lake and built a kiosk with a map of where the fish are12 located; and13 H. R. 1765 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1438 WHEREAS, this hard-working young man has demonstrated great lea dership skills and14 initiative during his years with the Scouts BSA program; and 15 WHEREAS, an outstanding Georgian, Haden has truly exhibited a c ommitment to the16 scouting principles of honesty and fairness and has consistentl y conducted himself in a17 manner becoming of an Eagle Scout; and 18 WHEREAS, the perseverance and determination displayed by this exceptional young leader19 sets an example for all Georgians, and great success is surely in this young man's future.20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21 the members of this body commend Haden Christopher Poole for hi s diligence and22 dedication in pursuing the highest honor awarded by the Boy Sco uts of America and23 congratulate him on attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. 24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized25 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to26 Haden Christopher Poole.27 H.
