A RESOLUTION
Commending and congratulating Mrs. Dora Mae Tiller; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Mrs. Dora Mae Tiller was born on March 2, 1926, in Gay , Georgia, and this2
year she enjoys the rare distinction of celebrating her 100th birthday; and3
WHEREAS, the devotion, patience, and understanding she has demonstrated have provided4
the foundation of success from which her family members have developed and flourished;5
and6
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high7
ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens; and 8
WHEREAS, she has lived a remarkable life of compassion and service, devoting many years9
to caring for children and supporting others though her work in home care nursing; and 10
WHEREAS, even after her retirement, she embraces life with the same determniation and11
joy; and 12

WHEREAS, her love of travel has led her to visit every state in the United States, except13
Alaska, and many countries around the world; and 14
WHEREAS, Mrs. Dora Mae Tiller possesses the vast wisdom which o nly comes through15
experience and the strength of character which is achieved thro ugh overcoming the many16
challenges of life; and17
WHEREAS, a kind and generous person, Mrs. Dora Mae Tiller brings joy and happiness to18
her family and to the many friends and neighbors who have the great pleasure of knowing19
her; and20
WHEREAS, she has witnessed a dramatic change in the world over the course of her lifetime21
and we salute her contribution to its progress by her own hard work and good citizenship;22
and23
WHEREAS, by the example Mrs. Dora Mae Tiller has made of her life, she makes this world24
a better place in which to live, and it is only fitting and pro per that she be appropriately25
recognized during this very special and memorable time.26
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27
the members of this body commend Mrs. Dora Mae Tiller for her unselfish, dedicated, and28
loving service to the members of her family and community; cong ratulate her on the29
remarkable occasion of her 100th birthday; and extend their mos t sincere best wishes for30
continued health and happiness.31

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized32
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Mrs.33
Dora Mae Tiller.34
