26 LC 112 3936 House Resolution 1774 By: Representatives Reese of the 140th, Hugley of the 141st, Buckner of the 137th, Smith of the 138th, and McClain of the 109th A RESOLUTION Congratulating the G.W. Carver High School Tigers for winning the 2025-2026 GHSA Class1 AA State Football Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the G.W. Carver High School Tigers have established and maintained a proud3 tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4 WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team5 a spectacular one to observe throughout the year, and as a fitt ing finale to its remarkable6 undefeated season, the team captured its second consecutive state football championship; and7 WHEREAS, the team brought special recognition to its school and to Muscogee County by8 winning the 2025-2026 GHSA Class AA State Football Championship against Hapeville9 Charter Career Academy with a final score of 24 to 7; and10 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding11 athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the12 team as well as its superb offensive and defensive talents; and13 H. R. 1774 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3936 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by14 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is15 abundantly proper to call them champions.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body congratulate the G.W. Carver High School Tigers for winning the18 2025-2026 GHSA Class AA State Football Championship and extend best wishes for their19 continued success.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to G.W.22 Carver High School.23 H.
