26 LC 129 1442 House Resolution 1813 By: Representative Gambill of the 15th A RESOLUTION Commending Jack Johnson, Cartersville High School's 2026 STAR Student; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, a gifted student at Cartersville High School, Jack Johnson has been recognized3 for his superlative achievement and selected as Cartersville Hi gh School's 2026 STAR4 Student; and5 WHEREAS, to be selected as a STAR Student, a student must have obtained the highest6 score in one administration of the three-part Scholastic Aptitu de Test and be in the top 107 percent or top ten students of his or her class; and8 WHEREAS, each school has one STAR Student who in turn has the opportunity to choose9 a STAR Teacher who has been inspiring and encouraging throughou t that student's high10 school career; and11 WHEREAS, educator Melissa Moore was chosen by Jack as Cartersville High School's 202612 STAR Teacher for the great support and guidance provided to him throughout the years; and13 H. R. 1813 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1442 WHEREAS, Jack has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness,14 and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance; and15 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most16 important objective of the General Assembly, and Jack has shown by academic17 accomplishment that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of18 the students in this state; and19 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation tow ard the future of this20 bright and promising young citizen.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body heartily commend Jack Johnson for being named Cartersville High23 School's 2026 STAR Student and express their most sincere best wishes for continued24 academic success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Jack27 Johnson.28 H.
