A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and memory of Ricardo "Ric" Hubler; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2
with the passing of Ricardo "Ric" Hubler at the age of 51; and3
WHEREAS, Ricardo "Ric" Hubler was born on May 15, 1974, in Toledo, Ohio, a beloved4
son of Theodore "Ted" and Rosalina Hubler; and5
WHEREAS, following his graduation as valedictorian of the Lake View High School Class6
of 1992, he continuously pursued higher education throughout his life, earning a Bachelor7
of Arts in Spanish from Tulane University and a Master of Busin ess Administration in8
international business from Georgia State University; and9
WHEREAS, he further demonstrated a life-long commitment to community leadership and10
involvement, serving as a proud member of Beta Gamma Sigma as w ell as member and11
president of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Chinese Americans,12
Atlanta Chapter; and13

WHEREAS, Ricardo "Ric" Hubler enjoyed an exemplary professional career that spanned14
leadership positions across multiple sectors, including Senior Director of Corporate15
Engagement at Georgia Tech, Senior Director of Global Business Development at the Metro16
Atlanta Chamber, Director of International Services at Aprio, and more; and17
WHEREAS, he earned the respect and admiration of his peers and colleagues through his18
generosity, reliability, and compassion for others, and his lif e was defined by the love he19
carried for his friends and family; and20
WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his husband, Jef f, and his life was21
enriched by the presence of his much-beloved cat, Addison, a constant source of comfort and22
joy; and23
WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Ricardo "Ric" Hubler will long be24
remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who25
had the great fortune of knowing him.26
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27
the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Ricardo "Ric" Hubler and28
express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.29
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the31
family of Ricardo "Ric" Hubler.32
