HR1824: HR1824 North Paulding High School varsity competition cheer team; winning the 2025 GHSA 6A State Championship; commend

26 LC 129 1364 House Resolution 1824 By: Representatives Momtahan of the 17th, Kelley of the 16th, Gullett of the 19th, New of the 40th, and Smith of the 18th A RESOLUTION Congratulating the North Paulding High School varsity competition cheer team for winning1 the 2025 GHSA Class 6A State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the North Paulding High School varsity competition cheer team has established3 and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal empha ses on character and4 academics; and5 WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of cheerleading6 competition by earning the highest score ever recorded in the school's history; and7 WHEREAS, superior teamwork and extraordinary resilience made this team a spectacular8 one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable 2025 campaign,9 the team captured North Paulding High School's first 6A state championship; and10 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding11 athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the12 team; and13 H. R. 1824 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1364 WHEREAS, in addition to its athletic achievements, the North Paulding High School varsity14 competition cheer team participated in several community and sc hool events including,15 supporting the school's other sports teams with goodie bags as well as volunteering their time16 with the West Ridge Night to Shine, community ribbon cuttings, North Paulding Hall of17 Fame, BHE Community Helper Day, the Special Olympics, and Holiday in the Den; and18 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by19 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is20 abundantly proper to call them champions.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body congratulate the North Paulding High School varsity competition23 cheer team for winning the 2025 GHSA Class 6A State Championshi p and extend best24 wishes for their continued success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the27 North Paulding High School varsity competition cheer team.28 H.
