26 LC 112 3962 House Resolution 1828 By: Representatives Gambill of the 15th, Erwin of the 32nd, Dubnik of the 29th, Fleming of the 114th, and Rhodes of the 124th A RESOLUTION Commending Rachel Kinsaul, the 2026 Georgia Teacher of the Year , on being named a1 finalist for the 2026 National Teacher of the Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Rachel Kinsaul has been honored as the 2026 Georgia Teacher of the Year in3 recognition of her exemplary leadership and her commitment to a dvancing high quality4 education for students across Georgia; and5 WHEREAS, she has been named one of five finalists for the 2026 National Teacher of the6 Year by the Council of Chief State School Officers, a distingui shed honor reflecting her7 statewide and national impact as an educator; and8 WHEREAS, her dedication to agricultural education, project-based learning, and real world9 application has empowered countless students to develop confidence, leadership skills, and10 a sense of purpose both inside and outside the classroom; and11 WHEREAS, as Georgia Teacher of the Year, she has served as a co mmitted advocate for12 public education, highlighting the transformative power of hand s-on, career-connected13 learning and elevating the voices of educators statewide; and14 H. R. 1828 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3962 WHEREAS, her contributions to her school, community, and the State of Georgia exemplify15 the highest ideals of the teaching profession and merit special recognition.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body commend Rachel Kinsaul for her outstanding accomplishments,18 congratulate her on being named a finalist for the 2026 Nationa l Teacher of the Year, and19 extend their heartfelt best wishes for continued success and service.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to22 Rachel Kinsaul.23 H.
