26 LC 129 1363 House Resolution 1825 By: Representatives Momtahan of the 17th, Kelley of the 16th, Gullett of the 19th, New of the 40th, and Smith of the 18th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Lieutenant Mike Weaver on his outsta nding community1 engagement and outreach; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Lieutenant Mike Weaver has long been recognized by the citizens of this state3 for the vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the4 welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and5 WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,6 talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced7 dramatically by his superlative service with Dallas Police Department; and8 WHEREAS, Lieutenant Weaver is a Master Instructor with extensive experience providing9 detailed and applicable training to all members of his community; and 10 WHEREAS, he was instrumental in developing training programs for senior citizens as well11 as coordinating with Dallas Elementary School to present the "Word of the Week" program;12 and13 H. R. 1825 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1363 WHEREAS, in addition to his community engagement efforts, Lieutenant Weaver serves14 as the departments recruiter and background investigator as wel l as runs the social media15 pages; and 16 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high17 ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom18 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved19 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and20 WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for21 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and22 WHEREAS, Lieutenant Weaver has served with honor and distinction with the Dallas Police23 Department, and his vision and unyielding commitment have set t he standard for public24 service; and25 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this26 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 the members of this body recognize and commend Lieutenant Mike Weaver for his efficient,29 effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most30 sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized32 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to33 Lieutenant Mike Weaver.34 H.
