26 LC 129 1446 House Resolution 1818 By: Representatives Schofield of the 63rd, Davis of the 87th, and Scott of the 76th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Pastor Adrian R. Smith, Sr.; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Pastor Adrian R. Smith, Sr., has demonstrated his commitment to teaching the2 Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,3 psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and4 WHEREAS, he is a devoted servant leader whose life and ministry reflect unwavering faith,5 steadfast commitment, and a heart for God's people; and 6 WHEREAS, Pastor Smith's journey with Christian Missionary Bapti st Church began in7 January 1998, marking the start of nearly two decades of faithful service; and8 WHEREAS, during his early years at Christian Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Smith9 served diligently in multiple capacities, including Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School10 Superintendent, member of the Usher Board, and participant in the church choir; and11 WHEREAS, Pastor Smith now serves as the Pastor of Christian Missionary Baptist Church,12 where he leads with humility, compassion, and a vision rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ;13 and14 H. R. 1818 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1446 WHEREAS, his vision and direction have helped Christian Missionary Baptist Church grow15 in size and influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving as a16 spiritual leader and place for fellowship; and17 WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the s ick, counseling the18 troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or19 humanitarian, Pastor Smith serves as a shining example of God's righteous path and20 WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Pastor S mith is a source of21 strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and22 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message23 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for his innumerable good works rendered24 on behalf of persons in need.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body recognize and commend Pastor Adrian R. Smith, Sr., and extend27 best wishes for his continued health and happiness.28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Pastor30 Adrian R.
