26 LC 129 1465 House Resolution 1868 By: Representative Gisler of the 121st A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Michael Prochaska and Amanda Prochaska for their years of1 service at The Oconee Enterprise; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Michael Prochaska and Amanda Prochaska have served wit h distinction in3 leadership roles at The Oconee Enterprise, providing steady guidance and editorial direction4 over multiple years of service; and5 WHEREAS, during their tenure, they have played a central role in shaping the newspaper's6 coverage of local government, education, and community affairs; and7 WHEREAS, both Michael and Amanda have demonstrated a strong com mitment to the8 principles of local journalism, including accuracy, fairness, and transparency; and9 WHEREAS, their work has contributed to an informed citizenry by ensuring that residents10 of Oconee County have access to timely and reliable news and information, and through their11 reporting and editorial leadership they have highlighted issues of importance to the12 community and fostered thoughtful civic engagement; and13 H. R. 1868 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1465 WHEREAS, their efforts have helped strengthen the connection between local institutions14 and the citizens they serve; and15 WHEREAS, Michael and Amanda have earned the respect of colleagu es, public officials,16 and readers alike for their professionalism, integrity, and dedication to their craft; and 17 WHEREAS, they enjoy mentoring and supporting fellow journalists and staff, contributing18 to the continued vitality of local media in the region; and 19 WHEREAS, as they transition from their roles at The Oconee Enterprise to new professional20 opportunities, they leave behind a legacy of service and excellence in local journalism; and 21 WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to recognize their contributions and to extend best wishes22 for continued success in their future endeavors.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body recognize and commend Michael Prochask a and Amanda25 Prochaska for their work helping tell the story of a growing an d vibrant Oconee County,26 capturing both its challenges and its achievements.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to 29 Michael Prochaska and Amanda Prochaska.30 H.
