26 LC 112 4014 House Resolution 1884 By: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Mitchell of the 88th, Neal of the 79th, Tran of the 80th, Barnes of the 86th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing the importance of theater education; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, theater programs all across the state provide students with personal and2 professional opportunities for self-expression, creativity, and career exploration; and3 WHEREAS, organizations such as Georgia Thespians help to support students by providing4 various educational, financial, and performance opportunities t o students of every5 background; and6 WHEREAS, theater educators, administrators, and parents have an immeasurable impact on7 the lives of their students and are champions on the front lines of theater advocacy, ensuring8 the arts continues to be a fundamental part of a student's education; and9 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this vital ar t form be appropriately10 honored during this special time.11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that12 the members of this body recognize the importance of theater ed ucation and celebrate the13 H. R. 1884 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4014 invaluable work of theater educators, students, and community m embers whose passions14 serve as safeguards to this art form.15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized16 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the17 public and the press.18 H.
