26 LC 112 3948 House Resolution 1877 By: Representative Burns of the 159th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Aaron Johnson; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, during the 2026 Legislative Session, Aaron Johnson has served as a legal extern2 within the Office of the Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives; and3 WHEREAS, he is currently enrolled at the University of Georgia School of Law, where he4 actively participates in numerous extracurricular activities, and he further serves as a cadet5 in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps; and6 WHEREAS, during his undergraduate studies in political science, he founded a pre-law7 fraternity that grew to over 100 members and helped establish S tudents for Latino8 Empowerment, an organization dedicated to providing the Latino community with enhanced9 access to university and continuing education opportunities; and10 WHEREAS, Aaron Johnson is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable11 reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and12 H. R. 1877 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3948 WHEREAS, he has served the Office of the Speaker with honor and distinction, and his13 vision and unyielding commitment to excellence will be sorely missed upon his departure;14 and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this16 remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately recognized.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body recognize and commend Aaron Johnson for his dedicated service19 during the 2026 Legislative Session and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued20 health and happiness.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Aaron23 Johnson.24 H.
