26 LC 112 4026 House Resolution 1866 By: Representatives Santos of the 117th, Holly of the 116th, Flournoy of the 74th, and Douglas of the 78th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Hands of Hope Clinic; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Hands of Hope Clinic, located in Stockbridge, is the only charitable medical,2 dental, and mental health clinic in Henry County, providing comprehensive care to uninsured3 and underserved residents; and4 WHEREAS, founded in 2004 by Janet Turner, Hands of Hope Clinic was established5 through a vision of compassion and community service and has grown into a vital healthcare6 resource for individuals and families in need; and7 WHEREAS, approximately 10 percent of residents in Henry County lack health insurance,8 representing tens of thousands of individuals who face barriers to accessing essential9 healthcare services; and10 WHEREAS, Hands of Hope Clinic proudly serves residents across all municipalities within11 Henry County, including McDonough, Stockbridge, Locust Grove, and Hampton, ensuring12 access to quality healthcare throughout the county; and13 H. R. 1866 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4026 WHEREAS, the clinic provides a wide range of services, includin g primary medical care,14 dental services, mental health counseling, specialty care, and prescription assistance,15 improving health outcomes and reducing strain on emergency healthcare systems; and16 WHEREAS, the clinic operates through the dedication of voluntee r physicians, dentists,17 nurses, and community partners who work tirelessly to ensure th at all residents receive18 quality care regardless of their ability to pay; and19 WHEREAS, for more than two decades, Hands of Hope Clinic has served as a critical safety20 net provider, strengthening the health and well-being of residents across Henry County and21 the State of Georgia; and22 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstand ing organization be23 recognized for its invaluable contributions to the community.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25 the members of this body recognize and commend Hands of Hope Clinic for its more than26 two decades of dedicated service to the citizens of Henry Count y as well as extend best27 wishes for continued success.28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to30 Hands of Hope Clinic.31 H.
