26 LC 129 1387 House Resolution 1874 By: Representatives Parsons of the 44th, Erwin of the 32nd, Draper of the 90th, and Reeves of the 99th A RESOLUTION Honoring the Natural Gas Association of Georgia's 10th anniversary; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the Natural Gas Association of Georgia is comprised of over 50 companies and2 municipalities that provide natural gas services to the residents of Georgia; and3 WHEREAS, in 2025, the Natural Gas Association celebrated the grand occasion of its 10th4 anniversary; and5 WHEREAS, that same year, the Natural Gas Association of Georgia began the Everyday6 Energy Heroes campaign to spotlight the members of the natural gas industry who make it7 possible for the people and businesses to enjoy the benefits of natural gas safely and reliably;8 and9 WHEREAS, over 2 million homes and businesses in Georgia are con nected to natural gas10 service that provides energy for heating, cooking, hot water, drying and other uses; and11 WHEREAS, in recognition of their dedication to providing except ional service to their12 customers and their community, Lonnie Robinson with the City of C o m m e r c e , R o b e r t13 Gordon with DeKalb County, Alex Philmon with the City of Sugar Hill, Everett Rhodes with14 H. R. 1874 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1387 the City of Waynesboro, Danny Hughes with the City of Claxton, Tabitha Shephard with15 Southstar Energy Services, and David Martin with Mansfield Power and Gas were nominated16 to be the Everyday Energy Heroes for 2025; and 17 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to recognize this outstanding organization18 upon its monumental 10th anniversary and the launch of the Eve ryday Energy Heroes19 campaign.20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21 the members of this body honor the Natural Gas Association of Georgia's 10th anniversary22 and congratulate the nominees of the 2025 Everyday Energy Heroes campaign.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the25 Natural Gas Association of Georgia.26 H.
