26 LC 112 4056 Senate Resolution 1031 By: Senators Jones of the 10th, Harbison of the 15th, Parent of the 44th, Wicks of the 34th, Davenport of the 17th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Cynthia Williams; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, through her leadership as the founder of Love From Afa r: The Christopher2 Allen Williams Foundation, Dr. Cynthia Williams has dedicated innumerable hours of her3 time and energy toward youth advocacy, grief recovery, and community healing across the4 State of Georgia; and5 WHEREAS, this exemplary foundation serves as a platform for young people to receive the6 tools, resources, and support needed to navigate life's challenges, build positive futures, and7 make meaningful differences in their communities; and8 WHEREAS, Dr. Cynthia Williams will serve as host of the Broken Crayons Still Color9 Youth Safety & Mental Health Summit on April 25, 2026, an impactful event that will bring10 together youth, families, educators, and community leaders to a ddress critical issues11 including mental health awareness, violence prevention, trauma recovery, and youth12 empowerment; and13 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high14 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom15 S. R. 1031 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4056 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved16 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and17 WHEREAS, Dr. Cynthia Williams is a person of magnanimous streng ths with an18 unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and19 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this20 remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately honored.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body22 recognize and commend Dr. Cynthia Williams for her many excepti onal contributions on23 behalf of the youth of this state as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued24 health and happiness.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed26 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Dr. Cynthia27 Williams.28 S.
