26 LC 129 1229 House Resolution 1898 By: Representative Powell of the 33rd A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Mike Stuckey; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Mike Stuckey on December 2, 2025; and3 WHEREAS, Mike Stuckey was born on May 13, 1956, in Dublin, Geor gia, a beloved son4 of Norman Joseph "Billy" and Almaleen Mullis Stuckey; and5 WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Mike was an active member of the First Baptist6 Church of Hartwell; and7 WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Carey, and was blessed with8 three remarkable children, Michael, Amanda, and Mallory; and fo ur wonderful9 grandchildren, Emmy Jean, Kirkley, Skylar, and Palmer; and10 WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern11 for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his12 family and friends were admired by others; and13 H. R. 1898 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1229 WHEREAS, he was a man of many talents, none the least was his ability to give advice and14 opinions in an honest, plain spoken manner; and15 WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation16 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he17 made this world a better place in which to live; and18 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Mike will long be remembered for his love19 of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great fortune of20 knowing him.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Mike Stuckey and express23 their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized25 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the26 family of Mike Stuckey.27 H.
