26 LC 112 4064 House Resolution 1930 By: Representatives Prince of the 132nd, Howard of the 129th, and Myles of the 126th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland has demonstrated he r commitment to2 embodying the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the3 physical, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and4 WHEREAS, First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland has spent a lifetime answering God's call5 to be His messenger and to do His will; and6 WHEREAS, during her 40-year-long tenure as First Lady of Gardner Grove Baptist Church,7 she has exemplified grace, humility, and unwavering dedication to the ministry; and8 WHEREAS, her vision and direction have helped Gardner Grove Bap tist Church grow in9 size and influence, uplifting the community like the light of B ethlehem and serving as a10 spiritual leader and place for fellowship; and11 WHEREAS, in addition to he r exemplary ministry, she is a distin guished retiree of the12 Richmond County Board of Educati on, where she faithfully served as a classified13 professional within the Professional Learning and Human Resources Departments; and14 H. R. 1930 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4064 WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by First La dy Sarah Reynolds15 Copeland is a source of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and16 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message17 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for her innumerable good works rendered18 on behalf of persons in need.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20 the members of this body recognize and commend First Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland for21 her four decades of wonderful service on behalf of her congregants and extend best wishes22 for many more years of successful fellowship and leadership.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to First25 Lady Sarah Reynolds Copeland.26 H.
