26 LC 112 3945 House Resolution 1941 By: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Ali of the 106th, Kendrick of the 95th, Carter of the 93rd, and Okoye of the 102nd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Chef Hank Reid; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, with over three decades of industry experience, Chef Hank Reid has devoted2 his culinary expertise to alleviating food insecurity and nouri shing the hearts and souls of3 those in need; and4 WHEREAS, he currently serves as the founder of Lettum Eat Inc., a distinguished nonprofit5 ministry based in Gwinnett County, Georgia, that provides hot, nutritious meals to6 individuals and families facing hardships; and7 WHEREAS, since its establishment in 2019, Lettum Eat Inc. has served more than 390,0008 meals to the food insecure, empowering those in need to regain and restore their9 self-sufficiency, hope, and dignity; and10 WHEREAS, in June 2025, Lettum Eat Inc. was able to invest in the purchase of 7.27 acres11 known as the Lettum Eat Specialty Farm, representing another sustainable food source and12 method of providing hands-on agricultural education; and13 H. R. 1941 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3945 WHEREAS, Chef Hank Reid has further developed and implemented a strategic plan to14 place community kitchens in underserved communities in the metro Atlanta area, which will15 provide high school culinary students with opportunities to volunteer, hone their skills, and16 gain a better understanding of food insecurity needs within the community; and17 WHEREAS, he partners with numerous non-profit organizations in Gwinnett County and18 throughout metro Atlanta to foster collaboration and meet the n eeds of underserved19 individuals; and20 WHEREAS, as additional testament to his dedication to helping o thers, Chef Hank Reid21 serves on the Gwinnett Coalition Board and speaks at various events and panels regarding22 food insecurity; and23 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkab le individual be24 appropriately honored.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body recognize and commend Chef Hank Reid for his many outstanding27 contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state as well as extend best wishes for continued28 success.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Chef31 Hank Reid.32 H.
