26 LC 129 1478 House Resolution 1906 By: Representatives Glaize of the 67th and Burnough of the 77th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Lady Chi'Ira Oliver; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Lady Chi'Ira Oliver, affectionately known as Lady O, s erves as leader of the2 Women of Worship ministry of Elizabeth Baptist Church, where she is the personification3 of grace and power; and4 WHEREAS, a native of Louisiana, and a graduate of Grambling Sta te University and5 Southern University A&M College, Lady Oliver has married her intellect with her ingenuity6 and has left an indelible impact on women all over the nation t hrough her ministry and7 passion for God's people; and8 WHEREAS, as leader of the Women of Worship (WOW) ministry of El izabeth Baptist9 Church, Lady Oliver has positioned the women's ministry to become one of the largest and10 most impactful ministries within the church; and11 WHEREAS, for the past 10 years she has hosted and facilitated b oth domestic and12 international retreats as well as the annual WOW Conference whe re thousands of women13 converge on the City of Atlanta to receive instruction and impa rtation from speakers and14 women of international acclaim and influence; and15 H. R. 1906 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1478 WHEREAS, a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., Lady Oliver has been recognized16 by several high profile entities throughout the country who have been touched by the imprint17 of her grace; and18 WHEREAS, she has been honored as a Torch Award Recipient as well as a recipient of the19 Unsung Heroine Award in recognition for her leadership and phil anthropic achievements;20 and 21 WHEREAS, she was also recognized by the WNBA's Atlanta Dream as an Inspiring Woman22 in celebration of her responsible stewardship of the influence she wields in the church and23 in the surrounding communities; and 24 WHEREAS, never one to rest on yesterday's accomplishments as well as an stauch advocate25 for safer cosmetics and beauty products, Lady Oliver has began a blazing an entrepreneurial26 trail with Beautycounter; and27 WHEREAS, Lady Oliver is a distinguished leader who leverages he r ingenuity in the28 Kingdom of God, the community, and abroad; and 29 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the remarkable accomplishments of this30 distinguished gentlewoman be appropriately honored.31 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that32 the members of this body recognize and commend Lady Chi'Ira Oli ver and extend their33 sincere best wishes for her continued health, happiness, and success.34 H.
