26 LC 112 4068 Senate Resolution 1034 By: Senators Harbison of the 15th, Orrock of the 36th, Kirkpatrick of the 32nd, Lucas of the 26th, Harrell of the 40th and others A RESOLUTION Honoring Cyndi West for her 25 years of distinguished service to the Georgia State Senate1 and the citizens of this state; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Cyndi West has devoted her professional life to public service, demonstrating3 an unwavering commitment to the State of Georgia and its citizens through her exemplary4 work ethic, integrity, and compassion; and5 WHEREAS, she began her career in 1991 at the Georgia World Congress Center, where she6 developed a strong foundation in service, coordination, and public engagement; and7 WHEREAS, she continued her professional journey at the Georgia D o m e a s a n e v e n t8 coordinator, further refining her organizational skills and her ability to serve large and9 diverse communities with excellence; and10 WHEREAS, she later brought her talents to the Georgia State Sen ate, where she has11 faithfully served under seven distinguished senators: Senator Hugh Gillis, Senator George12 Hooks, Senator Gail Davenport, Senator Lester Jackson, Senator Bill Cowsert, Senator Nan13 Orrock, and Senator Ed Harbison; and14 S. R. 1034 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4068 WHEREAS, throughout her entire tenure in the Georgia State Sena te, she has faithfully15 served Senator Ed Harbison, providing consistent, loyal, and de dicated support over a16 remarkable 25-year period; and17 WHEREAS, during her service, she has played a vital role in supporting legislative efforts,18 managing communications, and ensuring that the needs of constit uents are met with19 professionalism and care; and20 WHEREAS, throughout her career, she has demonstrated a deep ded ication to serving21 constituents, often going above and beyond to assist individuals, families, and communities22 in navigating state services and addressing their concerns; and23 WHEREAS, her institutional knowledge, steadfast leadership, and genuine compassion have24 made her an invaluable asset to the Georgia State Senate and a trusted resource to colleagues25 and constituents alike.26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body27 commend Cyndi West for her 25 years of dedicated service to the Georgia State Senate and28 her 34 total years of faithful service to the State of Georgia as well as extend their deepest29 appreciation for her tireless efforts and lasting impact.30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed31 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Cyndi West.32 S.
