26 LC 129 1492 House Resolution 1926 By: Representative Smith of the 18th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Anna Lane Coy; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Anna Lane Coy, a Haralson County Highschool senior, ha s surpassed 1,0002 career points; and3 WHEREAS, as a fitting end to an exceptional high school basketball career, Anna surpassed4 1,000 career points in the second round of the 50th annual Hilburn-Patterson tournament; and5 WHEREAS, this stellar young woman epitomizes the courage, determination, leadership, and6 character necessary to attain excellence in athletic prowess and performance; and7 WHEREAS, her months of training and competition have been rewar ded with this8 impressive accomplishment; and9 WHEREAS, Anna's career record was the culmination of a lifetime of hard work, dedication,10 and excellent sportsmanship; and11 WHEREAS, her superior skill, strategy, stamina, and control have earned her the respect and12 admiration of her teammates and challengers; and13 H. R. 1926 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1492 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlati ve abilities of this14 accomplished and gifted student-athlete, as well as the pride, honor, and respect she has15 brought to herself, her school, and her community, be appropriately recognized.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body recognize and commend Anna Lane Coy and extend best wishes18 for success in the future.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized20 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Anna21 Lane Coy.22 H.
